PoE Ethernet ports

In as much as the IP desktop phones can be powered from a 5V power adapter cable, the Ethernet port is PoE enabled. This means that as long as the installed network switch has PoE capability, the desktop phone will be powered from the switch. This reduces the amount of cabling around a workstation.

What is more, IP phones normally come with two Ethernet ports which enables two devices to share internet from one wall socket. Thus, the port that connects to the data wall socket brings internet to the desk phone. And the computer now receives network connection from the IP phone using the second Ethernet port.

Configure two VoIP accounts

Most entry level IP phones only have a single SIP account. However, the Grandstream GXP IP Phone comes with two SIP accounts. Therefore, two extensions can be configured to work from the same desk phone. For instance, a user might choose to have both extensions 102 and 106 configured from the same desktop phone.

Innovative call management functionality

All desktop phones have the ability to do call transfer, call pickup and even call waiting. However, the IP phones offer much more in terms of call management functionalities. This additional functionalities include 3-way audio conferencing, call parking, call forward, call hold and DND. All these additional features enhance productivity and increase efficiency at work.

HD audio technology

Voice clarity is key in telecommunications. Grandstream incorporates wide band technology to boost the acoustic performance. Clarity is boosted with echo cancellation technology and adaptive jitter buffering.  Hence, users can now enjoy full duplex performance from the speakerphone and the handset.
